Although I have a different camera, I had the same problem on my 15" Retina Macbook Pro until I noticed the "Open in Low Resolution" suggestion above. That fixed the problem. At the bottom of the full program description on the Apple Store, I found this paragraph that I had originally missed:
IMPORTANT: to run Stereo Master on RETINA screen you need to turn on "Open in Low Resolution" system property of application file.

Apologies Steve, Mr Kibernetik and I found this solution some time ago and should have posted this update - thanks for the reminder.
You are absolutely right - you just have to open (CMD-I) the application info and tick the "Open in Low Resolution" checkbox within the General pane.
