Launch an external application

Post by pgn »

Hello,
Using Smart Basic, I would like to create a file and open it with another application not created by Smart Basic. For example: a text file and open it with Word app, or a pdf file and open with iBooks... Is there a such command ?
A workaround would be with Smart Basic to create an e-mail and attach the created file. Then I would have to keep pressing on the icon of the attached file and choose the correct app to open it. But it seems, e-mail commands don’t exist in Smart Basic.
Thank you in advance for your help.

You can transfer a file generated in SB to Dropbox and use it from there for otherapplications.

Thanks for this solution.
Anyway, it could be nice to do it directly with a Smart Basic command.
