Well perhaps we've finally located the problem. When I tap on the dropbox cloud, all that happens is the arrow goes from up to down to up, etc. I don't get a listing of the Dropbox directory.

When you go to Dropbox for the first time, you will be prompted with your Dropbox account details.
Each time you switch from Local to Dropbox file system, you will get the list of files and directories in this file system.
Right now I have no idea why your files table does not change. All I can currently suggest is to reinstall smart BASIC.
Or maybe you have the same files in Local and in Dropbox?

I've installed SmartBasic 4 times. I should note that, with the arrow pointing into the cloud I can generate files, which list each time I am switch to the arrow pointing down, out of the cloud, but they do not show in the dropbox when accessed with other apps. Files I add externally to the dropbox, do not appear in SmartBasic. It's like there are two drop boxes... the one shared between computers and a hidden dropbox only visible in SmartBasic.

Of course. Each application has its own sandbox in Dropbox - that files from different apps will not mess with each other.Transco wrote:they do not show in the dropbox when accessed with other apps.
If you go to Dropbox with browser, then go to "Apps" folder, you will see "smart BASIC" folder - this is the location of smart BASIC Dropbox file storage.

Dumb me! I had no idea each app had its own area in the dropbox. Thank you for your infinite patients! I would have never found this on my own.
