Camera preview sprite

Post by rbytes »

I have been doing a little more experimenting with the command CAMERA N$ VIEW S$
It works just fine for previewing the camera, but if I try to STAMP or SAVE the sprite S$ while it is displaying the camera, the result is a blank image.

Why is this?
The only thing that gets me down is gravity...

Because it is not a sprite but a camera preview window.

This is what the user guide says:

CAMERA N$ VIEW S$
displays camera [n$] inside sprite [s$].
The only thing that gets me down is gravity...

Yes, normally sprite is under control of sB, but in this case sprite's contents is under software and hardware control of the camera. That is why it can be used only as a camera preview window.
