Thanks Henko, I will try that.Henko wrote:Yep. I also read that charging a lithium-ion battery to about 95% is better than to charge it to the full 100%.basiccode wrote:If you let your battery fully discharge it will then always discharge much quicker.
I keep the battery of my laptop in the fridge at about 40-50% charged. Every couple of months a reload cycle. The battery is now about 3years old and still of good capacity.

Henko can I ask how long do I keep the ion or lithium battery in the fridge? I sealed the battery before I but it in the fridge.

Unless i need the battery in my laptop (wich is seldom the case), i let it (sealed indeed) in the fridge (NOT in the deep_freeze section) for about 3 months. This period could be longer as the self_decharging rate is very low for lithium-ion batteries. Then i place the battery in the laptop, use it until like 5% then charge it to about 95% , use it until 45% and put it back in the fridge.basiccode wrote:Henko can I ask how long do I keep the ion or lithium battery in the fridge? Leaving the battery all the time in the laptop under charge is very bad, as most people have experienced. Not only is it always kept at 100%, but also the temperature is unfavourable high in the laptop. A laptop is really a bad place to stock a battery.

When you pause smartBasic does the iOS put smartBasic in an idle state? It might be a good way for reducing smartBasics battery usage.

No, pausing doesn't make it idle...basiccode wrote:When you pause smartBasic does the iOS put smartBasic in an idle state? It might be a good way for reducing smartBasics battery usage.

Two questions regarding version 4.3:
Should the command SET UNDERGROUND ON/OFF be given as a single-time command operation like OPTION DROBBOX ON
In that case it operates on ALL programs started after that command.
OR is it only active in the RUNNING program in which that command is given
Could you give an example of browser access to a local file?

SET UNDERGROUND ON/OFF is runtime command, it affects only current running program.Dutchman wrote:Two questions regarding version 4.3:

Re: 4.3 version
OK, thanks.
Regarding 'local files', my question refers to files in other apps. Is there a possibility to acces such files e.g. music- or video-files ?
