Conversion of any filetype to textfile

Any byte (0-255) can be transformed to 3 bytes, whose values are in the range 32-126 (printable ascii caracters), and can be transformed back to the original value.
Using this method, any filetype can be transformed to a .txt file, be send/recieved, and transformed back to its original state.

Could this be of any use?

I would prefer HEXtoBIN with BINtoHEX. See viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1938 ;)
