Unusual problem, can anyone help?

I am using an iPad, 8th generation, and today noticed something weird with a document in my IOS native "Files" folder (not the "files" area of SB).
Using a new app (not related to SB at all, and SB was not open at the time), I created an OCR document from a scanned page and the document was saved to the IOS "Files" folder with the suffix ".txt". Later when I wanted to forward the document I wanted to be sure it contained what I wanted it to contain, I tapped on it and it opened in Smart Basic!!!!
I then put a different txt file in the IOS Files folder and tapped on it and again the document opened in SB.
I couldn't find any "Open with…" setting either in the "Files" or the document itself.
I'm sure this is not an SB problem, but does any other iPad user have any ideas as to why this is happening and how to stop it from happening. The app I'm using does not allow me to change the .txt suffix (in fact until I saw the actual document in the Files folder I didn't know what suffix the document did have).
Thanks
