This is the description of minimal BASIC (see next post). smart BASIC is based on this ECMA-55 standard.

I have created a text version of this document which is much smaller and can be searched. This was OCR'd from the original and correction applied. Please let me know of any errors you find.

I've seen this book in 1979, 5 years after I entered the computer field. Most other languages should follow what is outlined.

Thanks for resurrecting it and taking me down memory lane.

Mr. K., this explains what I said in my email to you about SmartBASIC being a better BASIC than the other which will remain nameless.
