After using command SET UNDERGROUND ON - yes. But as a default it will stop in background. I think it is much better than previous functionality.

Maybe you will be surprised, but it is a music function

Code: Select all

[AVAudioSession sharedInstance] setCategory:AVAudioSessionCategoryPlayback
which enables background activity in Objective C :)

Nope, I am not surprised, I am surprised at "genuine music player"

Like I said before Monitoring apps can work in the background that don't necessarily use audio so I'm wondering if smartBasic can still work in the background?

Previously smart BASIC also worked fine in the background, without any questions from Apple and not being music player.
I hope it will keep this functionality.

I noticed background functionality was not possible when I first got smartBasic, It appeared after a user asked for it. Do you remember when smartBasic didn't turn music players off? And then with audio functionality active in smartBasic you had to request for that default functionality you previously had when you wasn't using audio (Midi in this case), it was around then it appeared.

Anyway good luck with that Mr Kibernetik, I hope it works that way as well.
