Help Documentation

Post by davey110 »

I often find it difficult to locate a command in the Help notes because it is not always obvious which section to look in. (This is especially true when first learning Smart BASIC). For example GET, OPTION, SET appear in 4 or more different sections.

Therefore I have compiled an index of commands, listing what sections they are found in. I have posted it on Google Drive at:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... nRZX2RTa00 (SEE NEW LINK below. This one doesnt work any more).

(I think there is a place on this forum for such posts, but I can't find it).

NOTE: This index is NOT a description of the commands - it is only to help find the command you are looking for in the Help notes. You still may need to look in the Help notes for the exact syntax.

Feel free to suggest additions or changes to this. It is somewhat abbreviated in order to keep it short - usually only sample arguments are listed for each command. Also I have not listed every command e.g. only COS() is listed - you would assume that SIN() and TAN() are in the same section.

The old one doesn't work any more.

In the PDF-manual, see viewtopic.php?f=79&t=1863 you can search for the command. ;)

NOTE that the NEW LINK on Google Drive for this Command Index is:

A number of people have e-mailed me for it.

I copied it to "Helpindex.txt". Next it can be brought into the SB environment, if you wish so...
