This function now works correctly with my CHUWI tablet. In pix mode, it gives me access to nearly all of my 1920 x 1280 pixels, minus only the thickness of the window borders.
When I run the command with Font View, my screen looks strange, since all interface objects ignore the pix setting. If it were possible for them to also respond to the setting, it would provide an excellent means to scale the entire screen.

The purpose of #.point function is exclusively to give access to individual pixels.
Usually interface objects are positioned using DIPs (device-independent points), not pixels.
