Two days ago, something unexpected happened. I opened Safari on my iPad, searched for the Forum, and the page opened instantly. It was two months since I reported that Safari had become extremely slow in loading the Forum and its pages - about 20 seconds per page! Yet Safari was still very fast surfing anything else on the web.
I tried some suggested cures back in May, such as clearing the cache, but none of them helped.
Since then, I have been using the Puffin browser app for the Forum and Safari for everything else. I soon discovered that Puffin could not copy or paste text properly in the Forum, so for that I still had to use Safari and put up with the delays.
I was very glad to see Safari returning to normal interaction with the Forum. Still I have no idea why it gave me problems for two months and then suddenly cured itself. Maybe there was an automatic update that fixed something.
Forum now takes a long time to load a page
