Panasonic DMC-3D1 MPO File Problems

Post by mlbarnes »

HI,

I just bought Stereo Master, and I'm enthusaistic about the facilities it offers.
The only problem is I cannot get it to work properly.
It loads my MPO files, and displays a good Parallax (Wiggle), but when I click for Anaglyph or save it, it gives me only a small fraction of the image.
I shall (try to) upload window shots to illustrate - these are the views I get just by flipping back and forward from the Anaglyph to the Paralax view (wiggle frozen in the snapshot, same file for both).
You can see the anaglyph is showing nothig other than the edge of the table seen in the parallax view (as per the actual photo).

As a sideline (feedback), I would rather do parallax corrections on an Anaglyph (and the keyboard correction shortcuts do seem to work in this view - difficult to test with the bug) but where are the correction buttons?
Better still the black and white edge type parallax error display you see elsewhere, but I suspect that would take a lot of work.

If I can get this problem sorted, I am very happy with the software!

Martyn

Hi Martyn!
It will be very useful to have your Panasonic MPO file for testing.

About anaglyph view - you do not need to have buttons there.
As you already said, you can just use hotkeys to make parallax adjustments right in anaglyph view.

Hi Mr Kibernetik,

I just downloaded and tried 1.0.1 and the issues are just the same - the Anaglyph loads an enormously zoomed section of the photo and I can see nothing else.
Did you make the changes you were planning to allow Panasonic Lumix users to open their files, or are these still pending?

This is strange. I can open and process this file normally. Previously my MacBook could not open this file - it was too big for the program, so version 1.0.1 is optimized to work with big files.
Can you please tell which options are activated in your program and how are you exactly processing this file?
